From a food to a label for your product
Every food page has a "Use in a recipe" button. It opens the label generator with that food already in your recipe. Add the other ingredients and amounts and the generator calculates the Nutrition Facts label, the %DV and the serving from the same USDA data.
About this database
Values come from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy), a public-domain USDA dataset. Each food page shows one USDA record and says which one, and together the pages cover every record in the SR Legacy release, including the branded, fast food and baby food records. Nutrients are stored per 100 g and scaled to each serving by weight, then rounded with the FDA label rules. We do not fill in values USDA does not report.
