The mandatory nutrition declaration, exactly as the FIC requires

Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 — the Food Information to Consumers regulation — makes a nutrition declaration mandatory for most prepacked food: energy in both kJ and kcal, then fat, saturates, carbohydrate, sugars, protein, and salt, in that order, per 100 g or 100 ml. Sodium from your recipe converts to salt (×2.5) automatically, energy computes with the EU's own conversion factors, and the tolerance guidance's rounding applies. Per-portion columns and %RI (reference intakes) are supported where you choose to add them.

14 allergens, emphasised in the ingredient list

The FIC requires the EU's 14 allergens to be emphasised within the ingredient list itself — bold, italics, or capitals — not in a separate "Contains" box. The generator's ingredient statement bolds them automatically as the recipe is built, in descending weight order with sub-ingredients in parentheses, in the language of the market you're selling into.

One engine for all 27 member states — and beyond

The declaration format is EU-wide, but language is per market: the interface and label text run in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and more, and the same recipe re-renders per market. EU labelling FAQ

Is nutrition labelling mandatory in the EU? Yes, for most prepacked food since December 2016, under Regulation 1169/2011.

Per 100 g or per serving? Per 100 g/ml is mandatory; per-portion values are optional additions.

Salt or sodium? Salt — declared as salt equivalent (sodium × 2.5). The generator converts from your recipe's sodium automatically.

Which languages can labels render in? The official language(s) required by each member state where you sell; the generator supports the major EU languages and bilingual layouts.
