Nutrition labelling requirements in Afghanistan
Packaged food sold in Afghanistan must carry a nutrition declaration under MoPH / ANSA Food Labelling Requirements (Codex-aligned). This page covers the Afghanistan - MoPH / ANSA format: Dari + Pashto (Arabic script, RTL) per Food Safety Law 2013. A compliant Afghan nutrition label declares 7 mandatory nutrients: انرژی / energy, پروتین / protein, چربی / fat, چربی اشباع / sat. fat, کاربوهیدرات / carbohydrate, شکر / sugars and سودیم / sodium. Values are declared per 100 g or 100 ml, with energy in kcal, and sodium rather than salt. The panel is headed "معلومات غذایی / Nutrition Information". Persian and Pashto must both appear on pack. There is no mandatory front-of-pack warning scheme. NFL builds a print-ready Afghan nutrition label from your recipe, applying the rounding rules and reference intakes for Afghanistan automatically, and exports it as PDF, PNG, SVG, JPG or EPS.
