Where nutritionfacts-labels.com is stronger
One US label, values already in hand. If a lab has already given you the numbers and you need a single US panel once, $4.00 for most formats is the cheapest clean file in this category. Our cheapest paid plan is $12 a month, so for one label they win on price.
No account at all. You pick a format, fill the form and pay. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel.
Its US format list is also complete for most packaged foods: standard, simplified, side-by-side micronutrients, infant, children 1 to 3, English/Spanish bilingual, both dual-column displays, aggregate, linear and the three tabular displays.
Where NutritionFactLabel fits better
You do not have the numbers yet. A form that takes per-serving values assumes someone has already worked them out and rounded them. We calculate them from your ingredients and quantities, apply the FDA rounding rules and % Daily Values, and write the ingredient statement and allergen line from the same recipe. Our methodology page shows every rule we apply.
You will change the recipe. Each change is a new paid file there, $4.00 to $6.00 a time. On a plan, you edit and download again.
You sell, or will sell, outside the US. Canada, the EU, the UK, Mexico, the Gulf and 100-odd other markets each need their own panel. They do not offer any; we render 152 formats from one recipe.
You make supplements. Supplement Facts panels are a separate format with their own rules, and they are not on that site.
Which one to choose
Choose nutritionfacts-labels.com if you need one US label, you already have lab values, and you will not change it. Choose NutritionFactLabel if you are building the numbers from a recipe, have more than a couple of products, reformulate, or sell anywhere other than the US.
