Pay per label: clean nutrition labels without a subscription
Build and preview any label for free, then pay only for the labels you finish. One credit unlocks one saved label for clean JPG, PNG, PDF and SVG files, in any of our 152 formats. Credits start at $2.99 and never expire. Credit packs are coming soon; until then, a paid plan gives you clean files.
How pay per label works
- Build and preview for free. Make a label in any format, as often as you like. The three US FDA formats download free as JPEG previews with "PREVIEW nutritionfactlabel.com" written across the label, so you can check the layout and share it for approval. Other formats preview on screen until you unlock the label.
- Save it to a free account. Credits and unlocked labels live in your account, so you need one to buy and use them. It takes a minute and needs no card.
- Unlock it with 1 credit. In the export dialog, choose "Unlock this label". You see exactly what you are agreeing to before anything is spent.
- Download clean files, any time. JPG, PNG, PDF and SVG, without a watermark, as many times as you need, free. The label stays in your account.
Credit packs and prices
Buy credits in packs. The bigger the pack, the less each label costs.
| Pack | Price | Per label | Per edit (¼ credit) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 label | $2.99 | $2.99 | $0.75 |
| 5 labels | $9.99 | $2 | $0.50 |
| 15 labels | $24 | $1.60 | $0.40 |
| 40 labels | $49 | $1.23 | $0.31 |
Prices exclude VAT and sales tax, which are calculated at checkout based on your location. Buy them on the pricing page or from your account. Payments are handled by Freemius, our Merchant of Record.
What one credit gets you
- One saved label, unlocked for good.
- Clean JPG, PNG, PDF and SVG files: print-ready, with no watermark. EPS and AI stay on the Business plan.
- Any of our 152 label formats, including the international ones, not only the US FDA formats.
- Free re-downloads, whenever you need the files again.
- 2 edits within 30 days, at ¼ credit each (see below).
Editing a label after you unlock it
The label format is fixed when you unlock it. A label unlocked as a US Standard label stays a US Standard label. To use the same recipe in another format, save it as a new label and unlock that one.
You can edit it twice within 30 days of unlocking, and each edit uses ¼ credit. An edit is a save that changes the label, including its name. Opening it, viewing it and downloading it never cost anything. Before an edit is saved, the save dialog shows what it will use, for example "Uses ¼ credit · 1 of 2 edits left · editable until 3 Dec 2026".
After that, the label is read-only, and you can still download it whenever you like. To change it again, use "Save as a new label": you get a fresh, editable copy that you can unlock for 1 credit.
That is why the best time to unlock is after you have checked every value on a free preview.
Pay per label or a plan?
Pay per label suits you if you have a handful of products, launch a new one now and then, or need one label in a market you do not normally sell in. There is nothing to cancel.
A plan suits you if you make or change labels every month. Pro is $29 a month for all formats with PDF and SVG and unlimited exports, and a one-time lifetime licence removes the monthly fee altogether. At $2 a label in the 5-label pack, about 15 labels cost the same as a month of Pro.
On a paid plan your exports are already clean, so you do not need credits. If you unlock a label while on a plan, its format is still fixed and it follows your plan's editing rule.
The rules, in plain words
- Credits never expire.
- Credits are not refunded. They are delivered the moment you pay. At checkout you confirm that you want them right away; for buyers in the EU, that ends the 14-day right of withdrawal.
- Unlocked labels do not count towards the Free plan's 3 saved products.
- Deleting an unlocked label does not return the credit.
- Without a plan or an unlocked label, the three US FDA formats download as watermarked JPEG previews, at about 192 dpi, and other formats preview on screen only.
The full wording is in the billing rules on the pricing page. Your balance and every credit you have spent are listed on your account page.
