Billing rules, in full
Everything that can affect what you pay or what you can access. No exceptions live anywhere else.
Upgrading a plan
Takes effect immediately. You pay only the difference for the days remaining in your current billing period, never a full extra month.
Downgrading a plan
Takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep what you paid for until then. No refund is issued for a downgrade.
Switching monthly → annual
Immediate. The unused days of your monthly period are credited against the annual price.
Switching annual → monthly
Applies on your renewal date. Your annual plan runs to the end of the term you paid for.
If you go over a limit after downgrading
Your data is never deleted. Everything stays visible and editable; you simply cannot create new products until you are back under the limit, or upgrade again. Extra team members are suspended, not removed, and return the moment you upgrade.
Labels saved in a format your new plan does not include
They stay in your account and you can still open and edit them. Exporting them requires a plan that includes that format. Files you already downloaded are yours to keep, always.
Cancelling
Cancel any time in one click. You keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for, then the account moves to Free with all data intact.
If a payment fails
You keep access while we retry the card, and we email you before anything changes. Only after the retries are exhausted does the account move to Free; nothing is deleted.
Refunds
7 days, on subscriptions and lifetime purchases alike. Payments and refunds are handled by Freemius, our Merchant of Record.
Lifetime deals
A lifetime plan is a separate one-time purchase, not a plan change; you cannot switch a running subscription into it. Cancel your subscription first; once it ends, the lifetime option becomes available. You can move up between lifetime tiers at any time by paying only the difference.
What "lifetime" includes
The plan's features for as long as the product exists, plus all new country formats and regulatory updates for 5 years. After that you keep everything you have and every format already in your account; continuing to receive new regulatory updates is an optional $49/year. Lifetime plans have fixed product limits and are non-transferable.
Price changes
Your price is locked for as long as you stay subscribed. If prices rise later, that applies to new customers only; you are never moved onto a higher price.
Taxes
Prices are in USD and exclude VAT/sales tax, which is calculated at checkout based on your country and shown before you pay.

Is the free plan really free?
Yes: no card required, no trial clock. You get 3 saved products, the three US FDA formats, and JPG export. No export carries a watermark, on any plan or without an account.
Which plan do I need to print a real label?
Pro. It includes PDF and SVG (the print-ready vector files a printer asks for) plus all 152 formats. Business adds EPS and AI for professional prepress.
Do you count exports?
No. Exports are unlimited on every paid plan. The difference between plans is which file types you can produce, not how many times.
What happens to my recipes if I cancel or downgrade?
Nothing is deleted, ever. Products over your new plan’s limit are archived (read-only) and restored instantly if you upgrade again. Archived products carry a 60-day clock: we remind you as the deadline approaches, and after 60 days we ask you to choose: download a JSON backup or delete them. The choice is always yours; we never delete your work automatically.
Can I switch from monthly to lifetime?
Not directly. Cancel your subscription first; once it ends, the lifetime option appears. This avoids you ever paying twice for the same period.
Who handles payment?
Freemius, as Merchant of Record. They process the payment, handle VAT and sales tax worldwide, and issue invoices. Refunds within 7 days.
