China GB 28050-2025 Readiness Checker
China's revised nutrition labelling standard applies from 16 March 2027. Enter your per-100 g values and current label setup to see what must change, the new 1+6 nutrition table with NRV%, and which content claims you still qualify for.
- Add saturated fat (饱和脂肪) with its NRV% (NRV 20 g).
- Add sugar (糖). It has no NRV: show "-" or "/" in the NRV% column.
- Add the reminder below the table: 儿童青少年应避免过量摄入盐油糖 ("Children and adolescents should avoid excessive intake of salt, oil and sugar"). Plain text, any alignment, boxed or not.

What GB 28050-2025 changes, and what it does not
1+6 core nutrients. Energy plus protein, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrate, sugar and sodium. Saturated fat and sugar are new; sugar has no NRV.
A text reminder, not a warning symbol. The standard adds a mandatory line below the table: 儿童青少年应避免过量摄入盐油糖. It has no front-of-pack "high in" symbol or warning triangle. China's front-of-pack scheme is a separate, voluntary draft that has not been finalised.
Rounding and "0". Energy to 1 kJ, sodium to 1 mg, the rest to 0.1 g, and "0" only at or below the per-100 g thresholds (energy 17 kJ, protein, fat, carbohydrate and sugar 0.5 g, saturated fat 0.1 g, sodium 5 mg), even on per-serving labels. Ranges such as "≤X" are not allowed.
Dates. Takes effect 16 March 2027. Food produced before then may be sold until the end of its shelf life. Sources: GB 28050-2025 as published by NHC and SAMR; NHC Q&A of 25 September 2025; USDA FAS GAIN report CH2025-0074.
