Packaged food sold in the DRC must carry a nutrition declaration under OCC - Étiquetage des denrées alimentaires préemballées (Codex-aligné). This page covers the DRC - OCC (Codex) format: French per Office Congolais de Contrôle. A compliant Congolese nutrition label declares 7 mandatory nutrients: énergie, protéines, matières grasses, dont saturées, glucides, dont sucres and sodium. Values are declared per 100 g or 100 ml and per serving, both columns required, with energy in both kJ and kcal, and sodium rather than salt. The panel is headed "Information nutritionnelle". French is required on pack. There is no mandatory front-of-pack warning scheme.
